Announcement

On Friday, October 13, The Virginia Commonwealth University Chapter of Delta Chi celebrated Delta Chi’s Founders Day. The festivities drew over 55 alumni back to Richmond , Virginia to celebrate the birthday of the fraternity. Alumni and Active brothers were accompanied by friends and family who only fueled the celebration. In attendance were VCU Delta Chi founding fathers Mark Roulley and Matt Brothers who arrived by limousine. The brothers enjoyed food and danced the night away with their dates. Alumni reminisced about their success in the past and celebrated with actives about the current success of the chapter.

On Saturday, October 14, the festivities continued with a golf tournament in the morning featuring both active brothers and alumni. The game ended by 4 pm and it was off to the home of Brother Tony Martinez Sr. for an evening cook out. The brothers enjoyed chicken, burgers and Mrs. Martinez' famous mash potatoes. Soccer, football and horse shoes were played until late in the evening. Founders Day 2006 was a complete success thanks to both alumni and actives from the brotherhood of a lifetime, Delta Chi.

Thank you to all the alumni who gave up their weekend to come back and show their support for the chapter and hear some of the plans the chapter has for the future. If you would like to stay in touch with what the chapter is doing more often than just by reading the newsletter, feel free to contact any of the executive board members who are listed on this newsletter for information. While you may not be active members in the chapter anymore, your brothers at VCU Delta Chi will always welcome you back to visit and reminisce about your time in college and in Delta Chi, "the Brotherhood of a Lifetime." -Abe Jamaleddine
